40 Days and 40 Nights...

     Glenn Beck has begun a project called, 40 Days and 40 Nights. It is the time period starting now through August 28, when he will be hosting a gathering at the steps of the Lincoln Memorial. The rally is called Restoring Honor.
     He chose 40 Days and 40 Nights because, biblically, that has always indicated a time of great preparation.
     During these 40 days, he has asked that, for the good of America, we exercise our faith, hope and charity, perhaps like never before.
     Faith... Pray. We need to get down on our knees and pray. Literally, down on our knees. Pray for God's strength and guidance. Pray for peace. Pray for even deeper faith in Him. And pray for America, and God's wisdom for our civic leaders. Pray.
     Hope... We hope, based on truth. Seek the truth. And speak the truth. Especially to yourself. Know what you believe. Do your own research. Spend some time thinking. Pray to know the truth.
     Charity... Charity begins at home. Do something kind for each member of your family, at least once a week. More often, when possible. We live in the best, most charitable nation the world has ever seen. Notice your blessings. Be grateful. And give from the heart.
